Regular session of the Peace Implementation Council on June 3 and 4: Political leaders and party presidents invited, no one from SNSD

(Patria) - The regular session of the Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council will be held next week on June 3 and 4.

Political leaders have been invited to address the PIC ambassadors, and some have presented this as a meeting of the Troika parties, opposition from RS, and HDZ.

This was denied by the president of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, who stated that he received an invitation to address the session of the Peace Implementation Council (PIC), which he accepted.

He emphasized that at this gathering, where he expects the presence of representatives of various political parties, he will present views on the current crisis and possible solutions, and pointed out that the international community, by enabling "alibi politics" in BiH, bears great responsibility for the current situation, trying to distance itself from its earlier mistakes.

Elmedin Konaković, president of Narod i pravda, also announced his attendance at the PIC session, telling Vijesti.ba that there is no place for SNSD.

"We ask the international community, do you see what Dayton is, do you see how many tools you have given to ethnic groups to block every process in BiH with a small number of votes. We see individuals who are breaking the laws of BiH. We are going to the High Representative who must find solutions for such situations - what happens when Borjana Krišto does not send the name of a minister on time according to the law, what happens when Špirić blocks the quorum ten times", said Konaković.

He then asked Željka Cvijanović and Milorad Dodik if they knew they were not invited.

"SNSD is not at the PIC session. Neither Željka, nor Višković, nor Stevandić, nor Dodik. SNSD is not at the table", Konaković stated.

Regarding the last PIC session in December 2024, several of the aforementioned obligations of the BiH authorities were not fulfilled, and the authorities of the RS entity have been carrying out an attack on the constitutional order since February 2025. The National Assembly of RS has not yet filled two positions in the Constitutional Court of BiH.

Furthermore, the state-level authorities have not yet adopted the Budget of BiH institutions and international obligations for 2025. The issue of state property has not been resolved, nor has the issue of financing BHRT and seven cultural institutions of state importance.

The upcoming PIC session will be very dynamic with different views and opinions on who is to blame for the crisis and how to get out of it.
