Development of Sustainable Modes of Transport: European Mobility Week

(Patria) - In the period from 16 to 22 September 2020, the campaign „European Mobility Week“ is being marked, which this year focuses on the theme „Zero-emission mobility for all“. The European campaign „European Mobility Week“ for the promotion of sustainable urban mobility represents a perfect opportunity to clarify the problems cities face in order to encourage behavioural change and progress towards sustainable development of traffic and transport in urban areas.

„European Mobility Week“ enables the launch of a wide range of activities and offers a platform for local authorities, organisations and associations to: promote initiatives for sustainable
urban mobility, raise awareness of the damage current urban mobility trends cause to the environment and quality of life, establish partnerships with local partners, participate in the European campaign with other cities with a common goal and identity, highlight the commitment of local authorities to sustainable urban transport policies and introduce new policies and permanent measures.

"The Association of Traffic and Communications Engineers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting the activity „Planning Sustainable Urban Mobility“. On this occasion, we invite you to join us at the location Vislonovo promenade near the Ars Aevi bridge on Monday, 21.09.2020, starting at 10:00 AM. Our goal is to bring closer to citizens the advantages of this way of planning mobility development, which increases the quality of life of each individual, as well as the entire society.

It is of great importance for us to acquaint the citizens of Sarajevo with all the possibilities for the development of sustainable modes of transport, which are still not sufficiently present in our environment, but likewise
there is no awareness of the importance of focusing on their future development", it was stated.
