Talks initiated by the international community: SBB supported HDZ's positions

(Patria) - At the initiative of representatives of the international community in BiH, a second meeting was held today in Sarajevo, bringing together political parties with representatives in the Federal Parliament. 

The topic of the meeting was once again the functionality of the Federation, i.e., how to unblock the work of the federal government, which has not been functioning for years due to HDZ's blockades. 

However, as at the first meeting, the primary discussion was about amendments to the Election Law, which prompted some representatives to express their disapproval.

The meeting was also attended by Marinko Čavara, who frequently referred to the Washington Agreement during the discussion, but did not put forward concrete proposals on how to unblock the Federation.

Alma Čolo, on behalf of the SDA, highlighted a proposal envisaging a different method for electing the President of the Federation, which is possible through amendments to the Constitution, all with the aim of preventing blockades.

SDP representatives spoke about possible sanctions if the set deadlines are exceeded, which could also prevent blockades.

As during previous meetings, the SBB delegation, led by representative Sanela Prašović-Gadžo, fully supported the HDZ's positions that each people should elect their own representative, meaning that HDZ should be allowed to elect the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Such a stance did not surprise anyone present, as Fahrudin Radončić's views on this issue have long been known to the public.
