Number of tourists in FBiH on the rise, most frequent guests Croats and Italians, Arabs in fifth place

The total number of tourist arrivals in November 2016 was 42,642, which is 12.9 percent more compared to November 2015, and compared to October 2016 it is 44.9 percent less, announced the Federal Institute of Statistics, as reported by Patria. The share of domestic tourists is 38 percent, and foreign tourists 62 percent.

The total number of tourist overnight stays in November 2016 was 78,368, which is 10.5 percent more compared to November 2015, and compared to October 2016 it is 44.5 percent less. The share of domestic tourists is 34 percent, and foreign tourists 66 percent.

According to the type of accommodation facility, the largest number of overnight stays was achieved in the category Hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 92.9 percent.

In the structure of foreign tourist overnight stays, the most overnight stays were achieved by tourists from Croatia (17.1 percent), Italy (8.6 percent), Turkey (7.9 percent), Slovenia (6.0 percent), the United Arab Emirates (5.1 percent), which totals 44.7 percent. Tourists from other countries achieved 55.3 percent of overnight stays.

The number of available beds in November 2016 was 24,882, which is 16.9 percent more compared to November 2015, as reported by NAP.
