Debate: Bećirović demands answer whether members of the Scorpions were also at the Drina exercise!

The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has begun, Patria reports.

Right at the start of the session, Denis Bećirović requested the floor and demanded that Parliament not ignore the greatest violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.

- This Parliament should not ignore it. This must be stopped by all legal means. Regardless of Parliament, I expect the international community, the Constitutional Court, and the Prosecutor's Office to do their job. The situation compared to July 20, when I proposed that this be an agenda item, has further complicated. Some have lightly accepted the denial of language, and the President of Republika Srpska has been reducing an entire nation to a religious group for months. And that was not enough for him, now he has also attacked Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the border we have armored vehicles and a show of force. I would like an answer as to whether it is true that members of the notorious Scorpions were also at this exercise – said Bećirović.

He proposed that the agenda include the Information of the Council of Ministers on the illegal scheduling, organizing, and holding of the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional referendum that breaks the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Nikola Špirić (SNSD) requested that today they not exchange harsh words, but rather be up to the task and work in accordance with the agenda.

Bećirović, however, said that Špirić was late with his reaction because he missed the opportunity when the referendum was scheduled.

- If this agenda remains, it could remind one of the series "The Village is Burning, and Grandma is Combing Her Hair." In this country, the devil has taken the joke, and we must see how to preserve peace in this country – emphasized Bećirović, adding that the most urgent thing in this country should be for the deputies to be the guard and vanguard over the peaceful dreams of children in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Momčilo Novaković also agreed with Špirić, proposing that they stick to the agenda.

Senad Šepić (SDA) pointed out that today's session is opening in a way that this could not be avoided.

- I support the initiative to speak about this important matter. We, as elected parliamentarians, must have a stance and see where we are going. We have a situation where, because of our leaders, people are feeling fear again. Our leaders are sending opposite messages of destabilization by rattling weapons. Do not ask us to sit here and behave as if nothing is happening – says Šepić.

Sadik Ahmetović (SDA) said that looking at today's agenda, he thought he was living in some Scandinavian country.

- Is this the current political moment and the current security situation in our country? It should not have happened that police officers from our state, without procedure, went to another state and conducted exercises there. Not to mention that the exercise was both political and provocative. In a country with such internal circumstances, a country that intends to obtain an application, this is not a fitting agenda. We are not addressing any current issue in this country, therefore I think we should deal with ourselves and what we are doing – said Ahmetović.

Dušanka Majkić (SNSD) pointed out that she is surprised how some ruling party deputies speak as if they are from the opposition.

- Obviously, the elections are ahead of us and they will gain some points. Ahmetović did not speak like this for two years. If nothing is good and nothing has been done, we must raise the issue of the government, to see what we should do – said Majkić.
