Warrants Issued for Delimustafić and Škrijelj

The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has ordered the issuance of internal and international warrants for Alija Delimustafić and Juso Škrijelj, arrested in the Pravda operations, who were ordered a two-month detention, but members of the Judicial Police did not find them at their registered addresses yesterday, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The Judicial Police brought Lejla Cerić and Suada Hadžić into custody, whose detention was also extended by two months.

We recall that on December 9, the Cantonal Court panel lifted the detention for four suspects, and the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office filed an appeal with the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, returning the case to the Cantonal Court for a decision, which ordered a two-month detention. The court made a decision on a two-month detention, but all trace of Delimustafić and Škrijelj has been lost. There are indications that both used their time at large to flee Bosnia and Herzegovina, given that no restrictive measures were imposed on them.

The Prosecutor's Office suspects Delimustafić and others of belonging to an organized criminal group that illegally registered and conducted real estate sales in the Sarajevo Canton area.

The Cantonal Court earlier extended the detention of Izet Musić, Mirsad Delimustafić, and Zoran Lončar by another two months, while a warrant was issued for former Sarajevo Municipal Court judge Lejla Fazlagić. The Prosecutor's Office recently submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina to send a request to Croatia for her extradition.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton stated in a response on December 12 that the court's decision to lift the detention was unfounded and not based on law. The Prosecutor's Office then announced that if left at large, suspects Alija Delimustafić and Jusuf Škrijelj could become unavailable to the prosecution authorities, just as suspect Lejla Fazlagić remains unavailable. And that is exactly what they warned about.
