The lavish ignorance of politicians: Investigation against Merdić suspended, not the case investigation!

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has suspended the investigation against Almir Merdić (41) from Jelah, one of the main suspects for the attack on Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić during the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica last year.

Merdić himself confirmed this information in a statement to the Patria news agency, which caused a flood of reactions after the news was published.

It was specified that the suspension of the investigation was made against one person, not the entire case, which is why the statements of domestic politicians are surprising, as they failed to adequately respond to the poisoned arrows from Serbia and the statement by the Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dačić, that Bosniak politicians were behind the attack on Aleksandar Vučić in Potočari last year.

- In a year, Bosniak politicians have not only done nothing to identify the attackers and organizers, but they have done everything to protect them - said Dačić.

However, instead of sending a strong message that an investigation is underway and that Serbian politicians cannot know who committed this act, or if they do, where they got that information from, BiH politicians started to justify themselves with words like "we are sure that the BiH Prosecutor's Office has done everything to shed light on this incident".

However, the BiH Prosecutor's Office is still working on shedding light on the events, about which it will certainly make a statement in the coming days, so in twisting the narrative, domestic politicians used this news about the suspension of the investigation against Merdić as an opportunity to show their lavish ignorance when it comes to politics and state management.

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, also seized the opportunity and, for who knows how many times, immediately stated that "BiH is a country that makes no sense".

Dodik said that the case should have been prosecuted if there was any desire to uphold dignity.

He, however, did not want to comment on the statement of Sadik Ahmetović (SDA) who said that Vučić "attacked himself".
