Ramo Abdullah Pazara: Serb warrior and Islamic fanatic

Spouses Ramiz Hodžić and Sedina Unkić, along with Armin Harčević, Nihad Rosić, Jasminka Ramić, and Mediha Salkičević known as Medy Ummulana, are the first citizens of BiH to be tried in America on charges of conspiracy and financing terrorists, writes Slobodna Bosna, reports the Patria News Agency.

As officially confirmed by the United States Department of Justice ten days ago, six immigrants of BiH origin were arrested in Chicago, New York, and Saint Louis following an extensive investigation that lasted less than a year.

If found guilty in the court proceedings, they face long prison sentences (including life imprisonment) and fines exceeding $200,000.

According to the indictment, Hodžić, Unkić, Harčević, Rosić, Ramić, and Salkičević are accused of sending money, weapons, and military equipment to their compatriot Abdullah Rami Pazara, who was a member of the self-proclaimed Islamic State military formations.

Pazara went to Syria in July 2013 and was killed in September of the following year in fighting near the city of Kobane.

And although Ramo Pazara was "celebrated" as a martyr after his death, who gave his life for the Islamic State, the truth is that this "holy warrior" fought just as fiercely for Republika Srpska more than twenty years ago?!

Long before he gave himself a new (warrior) name Abdullah, Ramo joined the Army of Republika Srpska as a 17-year-old volunteer, along with his father Suljo Pazara.

From his native village of Gomjenica near Teslić, he was soon deployed to the battlefield around Pelagićevo, and after distinguishing himself in combat, he fought alongside his "Serb brothers" on Majevica and in the Bihać area. During the fiercest armed conflicts, he was for a period in VRS units near Orašje as a sniper.

According to the official records of the Army of Republika Srpska, Ramo Pazara fought for one year (from September 1993 to September '94).

After the war ended, when the first displaced Bosniaks began to return to Teslić and surrounding villages, Ramo Pazara left BiH and emigrated to America.
