Ramiz Salkić sends Easter greetings to Bishop Franjo Komarica of Banja Luka

BANJA LUKA; (Patria) - The Vice-President of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Ramiz Salkić, sent Easter greetings to Bishop Franjo Komarica of Banja Luka and Catholic believers in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Salkić, on behalf of Bosniaks from RS, extended congratulations to Catholics on the occasion of what he described as a great holiday of hope, birth, and new beginnings, with sincere hope that they will celebrate Easter with their families in good health and prosperity. 

“This holiday also reminds us of the unique richness of our homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina. For centuries, the joy of holidays in these regions has been shared with neighbors, thereby firmly building mutual respect and tolerance. I sincerely hope that these values will be an integral part of the lives of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the coming decades and centuries, and that new generations will continue to build a society of equal rights and opportunities for all citizens throughout the territory of our homeland. 

Holidays are also an opportunity to remember the disenfranchised and endangered. Bosnian Catholic Croats in the RS entity are in a difficult position, as are Bosniak Muslims, and they share almost identical problems. We expect the authorities in the RS entity to eliminate the discrimination that is being carried out against Catholic Croats and Bosniak Muslims. 

May this Easter bring a better life and prosperity to all Catholics in Bosnia and Herzegovina, may it restore hope, peace, and love to the hearts of all Catholics, and may the new beginning, which this holiday symbolizes, strengthen the common life that has been established for centuries in the regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reads the greeting that Salkić sent on the occasion of the Catholic holiday of Easter.
