SARAJevo, (Patria) - Kosovo's acting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj announced on Facebook, citing media reports, that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has filed a lawsuit against him.
"I will, based on the law, prepare a response to the lawsuit within the legal deadline," Haradinaj added.
As reported by Radio Free Europe, the Kosovo portal Betimi per Drejtesi announced that it had seen a copy of the lawsuit filed with the Basic Court in Pristina, based on which Rama is suing Haradinaj for alleged defamation regarding the exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia.
The lawsuit mentions several broadcasts from October last year, in which Haradinaj speaks on the topic, accusing Rama, Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi, and Serbia's Aleksandar Vučić of initiating the idea of an exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia.
Haradinaj said that "Prime Minister Rama's lawsuit is completely unfounded and a political diversion to hide behind media drama and avoid responsibility."
