RAK calls for professional media reporting on Pride Parade

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) appeals to audiovisual and radio service providers to report professionally on the occasion of the Pride Parade, to be held on September 8, 2019.

"The manner of reporting and the selection of program content should be in accordance with the provisions of the Code on Audiovisual Media Services and Radio Media Services, which are based on the principles of freedom of expression, respect for diversity, pluralism of opinion, and the prevention of all forms of discrimination and hate speech," RAK stated in its announcement.

The Agency reminds that the right to freedom of expression, freedom of speech, and information are fundamental postulates upon which a democratic society rests, and primary drivers for strengthening the spirit of tolerance in any society, especially in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
