Raguž: The time has come for the BiH Presidency to "heal"

Martin Raguž, president of HDZ 1990 and candidate for the Croatian member of the BiH Presidency, says in an interview with the Patria News Agency (NAP) that he is full of confidence despite the words coming from HDZ BiH, which claims that their candidate Dragan Čović is already the new member of the Presidency.

- All recent polls should be checked, and then it will be seen how the candidates stand. I have never spoken in advance, because then we would not need elections. If someone thinks that way, then elections should be abolished. The key message is that with my candidacy, I have shown that there is an alternative to the current negative approach and that voters will have a choice, and I will respect the voters' decision, and I think everyone should think that way, but I am objectively one of the biggest refreshes and I am going into this match with a lot of confidence and a clear vision, respecting everyone, but the time has come for different election messages - says Raguž.

He further notes that it is necessary to overcome the extremely difficult political, institutional, economic and financial crises, lack of prospects, intimidation, further exodus and free fall of the country where responsibility has been lost by those who should lead this country.

- The focus is therefore on changing such an extremely negative situation, and in that sense, I personally believe that I have the capacity and experience through my work so far to open a new chapter of relations in BiH, which will begin the healing of institutions, starting with the Presidency of BiH, i.e., the first messages should come from there to encourage people that this country deserves better and more responsible politics, that it deserves a Euro-Atlantic perspective, and that it deserves lasting peace and stability that will come through dialogue and mutual respect, not through negation and confrontation - added Raguž.

Not wanting to speculate on the names of other candidates, Raguž did not want to reveal, if he wins, who he would like to work with in the BiH Presidency.

- I have no intention of speculating with names. I want to conduct a positive campaign. I want to invite others to send positive messages so that we can finally restore faith in people that we can build a better and fairer society, and whoever gets the trust, I believe they will get it with this kind of approach, because people in BiH are tired and frustrated by negative messages, lack of results, low wages, constant exodus, corruption, nepotism - added Raguž.
