Radovan Karadžić is a liar and a mobster!

At the beginning of his closing statement, prosecutor Alan Tieger characterized the former RS president Radovan Karadžić, accused of genocide and other crimes in BiH, as a liar and a mobster, Birn reported, as stated by the BiH news agency Patria. 

- Karadžić is not a building inspector. He did not say: 'This is not suitable ground for construction.' He is a mobster who said: 'Do not build, or I will be forced to tear it down.' He knew what force to use - prosecutor Tieger emphasized, speaking about the accused's genocidal intent. 

In his closing statement at Karadžić's trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), he stated that the accused is responsible for the forced displacement of the non-Serb population in BiH.

- Hundreds of witnesses and pieces of evidence have confirmed the policy of ethnic cleansing, of which Karadžić was the driving force... He was a liar to international representatives, who presented false stories in the courtroom - Tieger said. 

He described individual examples of suffering - in Sarajevo from snipers, executions in Srebrenica, and the killing of prisoners in camps in Prijedor. 

- These tragedies are linked to one of the four joint criminal enterprises used to eliminate Bosnian Muslims with the aim of establishing a Serbian state - Tieger emphasized. 

Speaking about the crimes in Prijedor, the prosecutor described the horrific conditions that prevailed in the Omarska, Keraterm, and Trnopolje camps. 

- Prisoners were severely beaten when going to the restaurant or the toilet. In Omarska, there were women who cleaned tissue and human blood during the day, and were raped at night. Prisoners constantly feared death. On one occasion, 180 of them were killed - Tieger said. 

In his closing remarks, he referred to Zvornik as an example of brutal takeover of power, where civilians were arrested, abused, and killed.

"The House of Culture in Čelopek was guarded by members of the reserve police. Prisoners had to eat severed body parts, and many were also raped," Tieger stated. 

He added that the crimes were not directed against individuals but against an "undesired community," which is the "correct name for genocide." The prosecutor is scheduled to deliver his closing statement for ten hours.
