Radončić for AJB: Dodik will have to hit the brakes or the devil will drag him into the abyss

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The goal of the processions organized by the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) is the quiet ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks in northern Montenegro, said publicist and journalist Šeki Radončić in an interview with Al Jazeera Balkans.

"There is no doubt that the events in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are coordinated, with strings being pulled in Belgrade and Moscow," Radončić stated resolutely.

"Amfilohije has the absolute support of the Russian Church, which supported the 'holy struggle' waged by the SPC in Montenegro from the very beginning. In addition, we can talk about the powerful support of the Moscow-Belgrade-Banja Luka axis, which has attacked Montenegro. Ostensibly because of threatened Serbianness, but in reality because of their unfulfilled Greater Serbia projects," believes the publicist and journalist.

As he says, "everything that has happened so far, including the large presence of people at the processions, clearly shows that the SPC does not have the power in Montenegro to dictate political and social conditions, but it does have the power to hate civic and sovereign Montenegro and to dream of 'Greater Serbia'. And, what is even worse, to transfer such morbid ideas to children and young people whom they lead on walks, which results in the burning of their homeland's flag, which is unprecedented."

Speaking about the actions of Milorad Dodik, Šeki Radončić believes that Dodik is not an independent player, nor can he be.

"He is ideologically and in terms of interest tied by an umbilical cord to Serbia. Dodik blindly supported the fascist in a tuxedo, Boris Tadić, until yesterday, who redirected him from social democracy to an extreme Serbian nationalist and instilled in him opposition to a whole Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro," Radončić states.

He also believes that Dodik supports Vučić with the same intensity today, and tomorrow he will support someone else, if he survives politically in the RS at all.

"Furthermore, let's not forget, Dodik openly advocates for the formation of a third entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e., for its dismemberment. After his somewhat rabid behavior, Dodik has received several very unambiguous warnings, the sharpest being from Matthew Palmer, who said that such behavior is unacceptable," Radončić points out.

When asked if he believes Dodik has crossed the international community's "red" line: "Dodik crossed that red line long ago. And he would always get away with it before being reprimanded, primarily thanks to the support of Serbia and Russia. This time, I think he has gone furthest beyond that line. The Americans have already blocked him and announced sanctions, and the American ambassador in Sarajevo gave him a good earful the other day in a conversation lasting over an hour. All this indicates that he will have to hit the brakes or the devil will drag him into political abyss."
