Radončić demands urgent session of the OSA Oversight Commission

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The President of the SBB, delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and member of the Joint Commission for Oversight of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, Fahrudin Radončić, has submitted a request to the Commission's leadership, namely Bariša Čolak and Safet Softić, to convene a session of the Commission as soon as possible, with the aim of determining the responsibility of the Director of the Intelligence-Security Agency of BiH, Osman Mehmedagić, for jeopardising national security through the import of 2,500 long barrels for the needs of the RS Ministry of Interior.

The SBB states that the OSA Director issued an official and positive Opinion on this import, which was also confirmed by a statement that the OSA sent to the public.

Radončić believes it is necessary for the Commission to examine the OSA Director and establish the facts as to whether, before issuing the Opinion, and due to the potential threat to national security, he informed the Executive Intelligence Committee, chaired by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdić, of his findings and assessments. In addition, it should be determined why Mehmedagić did not at all inform the partner services of democratic and friendly states about the intentions of the RS Ministry of Interior.
