Radončić holds meeting with members of the SSS BiH: SBB BiH will not vote for the Labour Law

A meeting of members of the SSS BiH and SBB president Fahrudin Radončić was held at the Trade Union House, where a joint statement was signed supporting the trade union struggle of workers after the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, adopted the Draft Labour Law, which should be considered on Thursday at the session of the Federal Parliament, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

After the meeting, SBB leader Fahrudin Radončić addressed the media, stating that the discussion with the Union highlighted that the FBiH Government is acting illegally.

- It does not respect procedures and, very importantly, it does not respect social dialogue with the Union. As far as SBB is concerned, the one who falsely promised to employ 100,000 workers has chosen the wrong path to go about this kind of reform, which we truly need. We want the Labour Law to be changed, but we want it to be accompanied by a parallel social programme and a programme that will mark new employment. What the Government of Mr. Bakir Izetbegović and Aljoša Čampara is doing, because they are the key people in that Government, Mr. Fadil Novalić is just a puppet, is something SBB will not accept. If someone declares us anti-reformists, that is a pleasure for me - not to be a reformist with those who brought the most radical elements here and who, in 25 years, have brought the country to a situation where every sixth inhabitant goes to sleep hungry - Radončić said.

Radončić said that SBB representatives in the PFBiH will vote on Thursday for this law not to even be placed on the agenda.

Ismet Bajramović, president of the SSS BiH, emphasised after the meeting that the support of SBB, as well as other parties that signed the joint statement giving support in the fight for workers' rights, is of great importance for the Union.

- They will not deceive us, we sent a statement to all 11 political parties participating in the government to come and sign a statement saying that the Labour Law should be withdrawn, and that previously the laws that should accompany that law should be passed so that people can live in this country. We do not want to get even greater slaves compared to what we have - Bajramović said.
