Radončić: The biggest job is to control people in isolation

(Patria) - Minister of Security and Chairman of the BiH Coordination Body Fahrudin Radončić stated that tents have been set up by members of the BiH Armed Forces at all border crossings and reported on their capacity.

With the help of UNDP, it has been ensured that the two entity governments, the Government of FBiH and the Government of RS, can purchase 50,000 coronavirus tests.

“I also had a video conference with all state police forces, and the two entity police directors, as well as all cantonal police commissioners. The biggest job is to control people in isolation. We must understand that citizens must be in isolation and that we will no longer tolerate some people walking around and spreading the infection. My stance is that criminal charges should be filed.

In KS, 511 people are in isolation, and 39 were not found at home. We will have to coordinate with cantonal prosecutor's offices to prosecute these people,” said Radončić.

He added that the measures are yielding results, as 14 days ago, 106,362 people crossed our border in both directions, and yesterday this number was drastically reduced to 8,924.

In KS, orders have also been issued for the police to increase security at pharmacies, bakeries, and supermarkets.

"Brčko police arrested 4 people because they organized a party and filed a misdemeanor report," said Radončić.

He explained that a request will be sent to the Council of Ministers to exempt medical equipment imports from VAT and tax duties during the coronavirus pandemic.
