Radončić: 100,000 migrants in Greece waiting to pass through BiH

(Patria) - BiH Security Minister Fahrudin Radončić stated that nearly 100,000 migrants in Greece are waiting to pass through BiH towards Croatia, and due to this great challenge, he warned European officials. 

He also commented on the political crisis caused by Republika Srpska, i.e., the blockade of BiH institutions announced by RS representatives. He emphasized that he hopes a serious blockade will not occur.

"My message to Mr. Dodik is as follows – do not provincialize yourself, the BiH Presidency, or BiH by going to Belgrade every week for your opinion. We expect all problems to be resolved through dialogue and conversation, because without that, there is no way out of any unpleasant situation. I expect the crisis to end like previous ones and for us to return to resolving things institutionally," Radončić said.

He added that "we as a society must know that this is a great challenge, and I have warned all our European friends that they must help BiH because we do not have enough border police, material-technical resources, drones, or thermal imaging cameras. Our border is very porous, and I expect that after three years of sleeping as a society, we will realize that this is not a process like a natural disaster lasting a few months, but a process that will last for decades. In this regard, BiH must utilize all capacities, from the local to the state level, utilize international assistance, and face this crisis," he said.
