Even heavy rain does not stop Krivaja Mobel workers: Save our jobs and factory!

Even heavy rain could not stop the workers of Krivaja Mobel from holding new peaceful protests. More than 500 citizens, workers and members of other associations marched through the streets of Zavidovići, reports a reporter from the Patria news agency.

The gathering and march in heavy rain send a clear message to the owners of Krivaja that the workers will not give up on their goal, and the goal is one: termination of the contract with the current owners who bought the factory a year ago.

- Not even weather conditions can stop the workers in their intention. There is one goal, termination of the contract with the current owners who have no sincere or good intentions. It is hard to predict what will happen, but we hope it will be okay - said one of the Krivaja Mobel workers, Besim Hasić.

The protests of Krivaja workers began in November and have not yielded results to date.

- We expect that changes could come next week. We have no information on which direction this will go, but it is certainly in someone's interest for 800 workers to remain here, and we all hope that will be the case. Thank you to the citizens who supported the Krivaja workers, and the message is clear by coming out in such weather - said one of the representatives of Krivaja Mobel workers, Hajrudin Imširović.

The workers will continue their shifts in front of the company to prevent the removal of equipment.
