Skenderija employees paid for warm meal today

The management of the company Centar "Skenderija" paid employees for a warm meal on Thursday, and promised that the management will make additional efforts to settle December debts at the beginning of March, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Skenderija workers reached an agreement with the Management on Thursday regarding the payment for one warm meal. The second part of the demands concerned the payment of December debts, which should be settled by the beginning of March. The Management promised to make maximum efforts to meet the second demand as well, although it was warned that the period for fulfilling the obligations is short.

Centar Skenderija is a reputable Sarajevo company that manages sports halls, a business city, and other real estate. In recent years, the company has been operating with difficulties: the Management owes more than a hundred employees salaries, warm meals, as well as money for pension and health insurance.

Skenderija workers held a one-hour warning strike yesterday. They are urgently seeking a program from the Management, as well as from the Government of Sarajevo Canton, that will improve the company's operations, writes Patria.
