Zenicatrans workers end hunger strike

(Patria) - Workers of the public utility company Zenicatrans-passenger transport, who had been on a hunger strike since Sunday, have ended the strike, but the blockade of the Zenica Bus Station remains in effect.

He adds that they made this decision after a session of the City Council, at which financial documents for funding the city were not adopted.

“Since we saw that Mayor Fuad Kasumović does not care about the workers, that they can all die, we decided to end the hunger strike. We will continue with our activities. Due to a lack of funds for operations, we will continue with the blockade of the station,” says Sarvan.

He believes that the City Council session “showed the true face of all councilors, and citizens could see everything.”

He says they will continue writing an appeal against the decision of the Municipal Court in Zenica, which they will submit to the second-instance body, the Cantonal Court in Zenica, reports Zenicablog.

Sarvan will attend a session of the Presidency of the Independent Union of Transport and Communications of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo tomorrow, from which he will seek legal support or a power of attorney for independent representation in the continuation of the court proceedings against the City Administration of Zenica.
