Continuing the activities started last week to find a solution for connecting the service of 52 Konjuh d.d. Živinice workers who have met the requirements for retirement, the advisor to the Federal Prime Minister, Suvad Osmanagić, today again received a delegation from this company, and the results achieved in resolving this issue were presented, it was announced from the Government of FBiH, reports the Patria News Agency.
Technical details to be undertaken to complete all procedures related to the retirement of these workers in the next fifteen days have been agreed upon.
Representatives of the strikers, who froze their strike after Thursday's meeting, decided to end it and for the workers who have met the conditions for retirement but could not achieve it, to leave the premises of the Konjuh salon in Živinice and go home.
At the meeting, representatives of this former wood industry giant and the branch union expressed special gratitude to the Government of the Federation of BiH, which got involved in resolving their problems, even though it has no capital participation in this business entity, nor is this company on the list of companies it manages based on its ownership stake, the statement reads.
We remind you that the previous Government, led by Nermin Nikšić, paid PIO for these workers, and through the Law on Financial Consolidation, a solution was determined for the problem of debts to the TK Health Insurance Fund.
The debt for healthcare amounted to KM 130,000, and the debt could be resolved by transferring it to the capital burden in accordance with the law, meaning the TK HIF would become the owner of shares in that amount.
The Patria News Agency has already written about this problem and pointed out that the issue of Konjuh workers' retirement could be resolved in a few hours, but that Prime Minister Fadil Novalić was not interested.
