KJKP "Rad" workers find mortar shell at landfill

(Patria) - Workers of KJKP "Rad" in Sarajevo today found an extremely dangerous 82-millimeter mortar shell at the landfill, along with other waste collected from containers.

The Civil Protection has been engaged to take all necessary steps for the safe removal of the dangerous ammunition in accordance with regulations.

"Accidentally, or perhaps not, at a time when we are facing an epidemic of leptospirosis in Sarajevo Canton, such reckless actions are particularly frightening and unacceptable.

By sheer luck, this mortar shell did not detonate, but if it had, it could have caused catastrophic consequences, including loss of life and serious material damage," stated KJKP "Rad".

They add that this type of irresponsibility, or something else, must be clearly condemned, and the perpetrators must bear the consequences of their actions.
