SARAJevo, (Patria) - Former workers of the "Hidrogradnja" company from Sarajevo today, as announced, began a hunger strike in front of the FBiH Government building due to unpaid wages and the impossibility of retiring due to uncredited service.
The workers are demanding the payment of eight salaries, severance pay, and credited service for 272 workers who meet the conditions for retirement. They are seeking a meeting with Prime Minister Fadil Novalić and state that they are not asking for anything that is not theirs, but rather what they have earned.
The workers state that they expect to be received for a discussion at the FBiH Government by 1 PM, and if this does not happen, they will consider further ways of demanding the realization of their rights, which include a hunger strike.
They briefly blocked Alipašina Street and stated that this is only a warning.
After not receiving police permission to block the M-17 main road, the workers announced that they would take drastic measures, including blocking roads in the Sarajevo Canton.
