Binas workers to protest in front of the FBiH Government on Monday

SARAJevo, (Patria) - Workers of one of the companies in the defense industry, Binas from Bugojno, are organizing protests in front of the FBiH Government building on December 6.

The workers also protested on November 3, when they demanded five salaries, the linking of their employment history, and the payment of contributions that have not been paid since August 2019.  

They are dissatisfied with the attitude of the FBiH Government, and poor management decisions have led to Binas operating poorly and even halting production.

At the end of 2019, Binas operated positively and generated revenue of around 3.4 million KM; in 2020, they had a loss of 3.7 million KM! As of June 30, 2021, the total debt to the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH amounted to 10.6 million KM.

Abaz Mandžuka was recently appointed director, but as can be heard in the corridors, Mandžuka goes to the company on Saturdays, and there is no one to give the workers answers about when they will receive their salaries.

The once promising company has been almost destroyed, and a similar scenario threatens other companies in the defense industry.
