BHRT employees without salary: Preparing strike and criminal charges against management

Due to the extremely difficult financial situation in which BHRT finds itself, as well as the continuation of the ignorant attitude that management has been showing for a long time towards the BHRT Trade Union Organization, at an extraordinary and expanded session of the Supervisory Board held on 08/14/2017, the following conclusions were reached;

1. In accordance with legal regulations and the law on strikes, as soon as possible, initiate the procedure together with the membership and all trade union branches to organize a warning strike. It is up to the employees to make a decision and, together with the Supervisory Board of the Trade Union, take responsibility for this step and set the date for the start of the strike.

2. IMMEDIATELY initiate the previously announced criminal charges against the general director and his associates through the union's legal experts, of which we are an equal member.

3. We stand by the demands for the dismissal of the general director, as nothing has changed in our position on this issue in the meantime. The signing of the agreement with Elektroprivreda, however anyone interprets it, is not the merit of the general director

4. We reiterate the demand for the publication of the management's income, as we believe that the management is obliged to do so at a time when we are seeking public support for the survival of the company. We consider it unacceptable that this team, which has no measurable and positive results behind it, continues to enjoy enormously high incomes compared to the people from the program at a time when the company is on the verge of closure.

5. The BHRT Trade Union Organization has not and will never agree to partial payment of personal incomes while completely neglecting obligations to pension and health insurance funds, as well as tax obligations. Also, the BHRT Trade Union Organization, in accordance with its responsible and just actions, will seek accountability from the director, as well as the entire management that allowed employees with credit obligations to have them deducted from their payroll without the funds being paid to the banks.

6. We call on the members of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina to explain to the public, as well as to international institutions, whose interest it is that BHRT employees, primarily those in the direct program production sector, live on the edge of existence. We call on them to explain to whom it is in the interest that people who have the obligation to point out all social events and processes, including anomalies and negative phenomena, and to professionally represent the Bosnian-Herzegovinian public, are brought to the state of poverty. It would be very useful if they explained to the citizens of BiH, as well as to the employees, why hungry people are needed at BHRT
to manage this company as they see fit?
