WORKING WEEK National Assembly of Republika Srpska on the resignation of the President of the Government of RS Savo Minić on January 18

(Patria) - The Collegium of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska decided today, at a telephone session, that the 29th special session of the National Assembly of RS will be held on Sunday at 11:00 AM.

The Collegium adopted the proposed agenda with one item - the adoption of the resignation of the President of the Government of Republika Srpska, it was announced from the National Assembly.

We remind you that the current Prime Minister of RS Savo Minić yesterday submitted his mandate to the acting President of RS Ana Trišić-Babić, and she then informed him that she would propose him again as the mandate holder.

In his address to the media yesterday, Minić announced that there would be some personnel changes in the Government of RS, but he did not speak in detail about the ministries and ministers.

This change in the Government of RS comes ahead of the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH on the legality of the Government of RS headed by Savo Minić, which was appointed in September 2025. The procedure for proposing the mandate holder by Milorad Dodik, who had already been stripped of his mandate as President of RS after a final conviction by the Court of BiH, is controversial.

Some of the opposition parties from RS refused to respond to consultations with Minić, and today he held a meeting with SNSD. It is most likely that the change of ministers in the Government of RS will be from the ranks of SNSD.

The President of RS Milorad Dodik stated that all steps have been taken to avoid an uncomfortable situation after the decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH and that on Sunday there will be a new proposal for the Government of RS at the session of the National Assembly of RS. SNSD agreed that a non-partisan candidate with authority would take one ministerial position, and praised the relationship with coalition partners.

The session of the NSRS, where the new Government of RS should be appointed, is expected to be held on the same day.
