RS and BN Radio Stations Play Inappropriate Music on Day of Mourning

Numerous citizens and readers have contacted the Patria news agency to warn that the Day of Mourning, declared in BiH for July 11 due to the burial of 136 victims of the Srebrenica genocide, is not being respected. A reader who contacted the Patria agency said that in his car he heard music inappropriate for the Day of Mourning on several radio stations.

- Radio BN,

Many citizens have decided to report these radio stations to the Communications Regulatory Agency of BiH so that they can be adequately sanctioned.

We remind you, the Day of Mourning was first declared in the FBiH, and then by a unanimous decision of the Council of Ministers, it was also declared on the territory of BiH.

The Day of Mourning is observed by mandatory flying the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at half-mast, i.e., on the flagpole on the buildings of institutions.

Also, on the Day of Mourning, cultural and entertainment programs cannot be held in public places, and media houses on the territory of BiH are obliged to align and adapt their program content to the Day of Mourning.
