As part of the Sarajevo Canton Emergency Services Call Centre, a phone line for deaf-mute persons has been operational since today, reports the BH News Agency Patria.
These persons can send an SMS message to the phone number 062 899 500 24 hours a day, thereby explaining their health problem and requesting assistance. Upon receiving and processing the inquiry, the interested patient will receive feedback, either in the form of health advice or, if deemed necessary, assistance at their home address.
This initiative aims to provide these fellow citizens with easier communication and equal access to healthcare in order to promptly resolve their health problems.
