Buys nose-horned vipers through ads for their venom

More and more people, besides conventional methods of treating diseases, are also seeking salvation in alternative medicine and other natural remedies, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Although official medicine does not recognize certain methods, there are many who seek healing in nature.

One such example is the use of snake venom, and in an advertisement in Bosnian-Herzegovinian daily newspapers, an ad was published in which a man buys poisonous nose-horned vipers.

A voice on the other end of the phone line told a reporter from the Patria agency that he uses the venom from the snakes. He did not want to discuss details, such as how he uses the venom and for which specific diseases such venom can help.

On the other hand, official research has shown that the use of snake venom in the production of medicines and cosmetics is multifaceted. Some medications for regulating blood pressure, drugs for certain forms of cancer, and diabetes are based on snake venom.
