Due to heavy precipitation, traffic is difficult in most parts of our country, announced by BIHAMK, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.
- On the main roads Livno-Šuica-Kupres, Šuica-Tomislavgrad and Glamoč-Mlinište, as well as on the regional roads Mihalji-Blidinje and Kupres-Šipovo, traffic has been completely suspended due to snowdrifts. On the Sarajevo-Konjic road section via the Ivan pass, traffic has been suspended for trucks with trailers and semi-trailers, while other vehicles must use chains - it was announced.
We continue to warn about sections in higher mountainous areas, where the use of chains is mandatory for trucks. Additional difficulties for drivers in the western and southwestern regions are caused by strong wind, which creates snowdrifts. On the main road Teslić-Kotor Varoš (via the Borja pass), as well as on the road towards Bjelašnica, all vehicles must use chains.
Road service teams are in the field and are carrying out all necessary interventions, but the snow that continues to fall is hindering their work. We advise drivers not to set off on the road unless necessary, and if they do travel, to drive with extreme caution and use winter equipment.
On the A1 motorway on the Zenica-Tarčin section, traffic is moving on a partially snow-covered road, while the road surface on the Zvirovići-Bijača section is currently wet. In the wider area of Mostar and in the far south, the road is mostly wet due to rain.
Due to snowfall in Croatia, traffic has been suspended for vehicles over 7.5t at the Izačić border crossing. At other border crossings, there are no longer delays.
