Road to Potočari: 220 participants from Žepa also in the Peace March

„Peace March 2015“ is proceeding without problems and today participants are passing the second stage. Among more than 10,000 participants are about 220 people from Žepa, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Ramo Čardaković, the march leader, said that the column has everything needed for the journey to Potočari to go as smoothly as possible.

- We have no problems. Participants are from Breza, Mostar, Travnik, Lukavac, others are from Sarajevo, Žepa... The weather is ideal for now, but even if it gets hotter we won't have problems because most of the route is through the forest. We are glad that young people have responded to this march and they are the most numerous. Among the participants are several children under ten years old – added Čardaković.

Participants of the „Peace March 2015“ will stop during the journey at the site of Vukoljin stan where a history lesson will be held and tribute paid at the memorial to pilots, doctors and others killed in the crash of an Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina helicopter at Igrišnik.

Hamdija Fejzić, president of the subcommittee for „Peace March 2015“, emphasizes that everything is going according to plan and without problems.

- Yesterday we only had problems with the temperature. There were minor interventions. This morning we had an evacuation of two people by helicopter to Tuzla. We are leaving nothing to chance. Yesterday about 10,000 accreditations were distributed, but not everyone received them, so the number is certainly higher than 10,000. We are satisfied with the behaviour of the participants in the Peace March; everyone respects the code of conduct – Fejzić points out.
