The Karaula Tunnel, near Kladanj, has been opened to traffic, which will facilitate and shorten the journey between Sarajevo and Tuzla.
The Karaula Tunnel is located on the M18 road, Kladanj - Podpaklenik section via the Karaula pass, 902 meters in length. The project cost 31 million KM. The tunnel is expected to speed up road communication between Sarajevo and Tuzla, especially during winter.
The tunnel is connected to the M-18 main road with temporary connections. These will be removed once the proper connections are made, writes NAP.
