Shot from Volvo at Mercedes, one person lightly injured

On Sunday evening around 23:00, the Third Police Station was informed that at the intersection of Safeta Zajke and Esada Midžića streets, Novi Grad Sarajevo municipality, an unknown person used a firearm, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

On that occasion, A.Z., a resident of Sarajevo, sustained minor bodily injuries, and medical assistance was provided to him at the University Clinical Center Sarajevo. During the interview, he stated that he was driving his passenger motor vehicle, a “Mercedes,” at the said intersection when an unknown person from a passenger motor vehicle, a “Volvo,” fired one shot from a firearm and then fled in an unknown direction.

The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed about the incident. The investigation was carried out by police officers of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, who continue to work on clarifying and documenting the aforementioned criminal offense, as well as identifying and finding the perpetrator.
