Ramiz Salkić, the vice-president of the BiH entity RS, met on Saturday, January 9, 2016, in Janja with political and religious representatives of the Bosniaks of this region. After a joint tour of the Čaršija mosque, they discussed the attack on this religious building, which was carried out with firearms on Orthodox Christmas, January 7, 2016. One window was broken, and traces were left on the facade and inner walls of the mosque. Vice-president Salkić called on the investigative bodies to conduct an investigation as soon as possible and find the perpetrators. He called on Bosniaks to remain calm and patient, reports the BiH news agency Patria.
- I expect the highest level of professionalism from the investigative bodies. Unfortunately, some security agencies rushed to qualify this attack as a stray bullet even before the investigation was completed. This is a deliberate attack that can be characterized as an act of terrorism aimed at disrupting inter-ethnic relations. Bosniaks are at home in this entity. We want peaceful coexistence, but everyone must know that we will not allow the abuse of our values and the intimidation of our people. The shot at the mosque in Janja is a shot in the heart of every Bosniak in this country - said Salkić.

During his stay in Janja, Vice-president Ramiz Salkić, accompanied by Samir Baćevac, delegate in the Council of Peoples, Omer Camić, chief imam of the Janja Mufti's Office, and Huso Žećkanović, deputy head of the Bijeljina Municipality, visited the Humanitarian Center of the Association of Demobilized Fighters in Janja. Within this center, a soup kitchen operates, serving twenty people daily. They discussed modalities of providing support for their humanitarian work with the members of this Association.
