Holders of tenancy rights who left Sarajevo and other parts of the country under the control of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the beginning of the aggression on BiH in the 90s, could now collect as much as 90 million KM in compensation from the Federation. The Service for Joint Affairs of the Bodies and Bodies of the Federation of BiH informed the Government of the FBiH about this today, writes the Patria agency.
The president of the Association of Military Pensioners of Republika Srpska, Milorad Kutlešić, previously stated that this Association alone claims 258 apartments from the Federation, which were previously used by former members of the JNA, i.e., the Army of Republika Srpska.
In November 2012, the Constitutional Court of BiH determined a violation of property rights in several cases of "JNA apartments" and ordered the FBiH to decide how to compensate the owners, writes Patria.
