First in the history of the royal city: Waterfall jumps in Jajce on August 9

Preparations for the first waterfall jumps in Jajce on August 9 this year are in the final phase, reports the BH news agency Patria (NAP).

Competitors from all over BiH will compete for the first time in jumps from this waterfall, and competitors from Serbia, Montenegro, and Croatia have also announced their arrival in Jajce.

Approximately 21 meters high, formed at the confluence of the Pliva and Vrbas rivers, the waterfall in Jajce is considered by many to be among the ten most beautiful waterfalls in the world. It is one of the few waterfalls located in the very center of the city.

The director of the Agency for Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage and Development of Tourism Potential of the City of Jajce, Huso Hadžić, told Patria that Jajce has been making great efforts in recent years to maximally include the natural beauties of this centuries-old royal city as an economic resource of the city and to derive economic benefit from them.

More and more tourists visit Jajce every year. Last year there were 80,000, and this year that number could be even higher.

The city is currently full of tourists from all over the world, as well as from the diaspora who are on vacation, so the organizers expect several thousand spectators on August 9 to cheer on the brave jumpers.

The jumpers from Mostar will also support the competitors in Jajce, reports NAP.
