First Working Collegium of the Sarajevo Canton Government with Newly Appointed Ministers

At the first working collegium of the Sarajevo Canton Government, the newly appointed ministers of five cantonal departments: health, internal affairs, social policy, justice, culture and sports were acquainted with the concept, methodology and dynamics of the Government's work.

Prime Minister of the Canton Elmedin Konaković wished a successful start to the ministers Zehra Ademaj, Ismir Juska, Amela Dautbegović, Marijo Nenadić and Mirvad Kurić, emphasizing that this is precisely the time when the Government's Work Program for the next year is being proposed and created, and into which the new ministers will incorporate their programmatic guidelines.

- The Draft Budget of Sarajevo Canton for 2016 has been determined in draft form, a public debate is underway, and this will be an opportunity and a way for your views and guidelines to be expressed in that part as well - Prime Minister Konaković said, who on this occasion also acquainted the ministers with the priority actions of this Government and the most important issues it will deal with in the future.

These include legal regulations in the fields of tourism, internal affairs, spatial planning, water supply and other utility services, initiated reform processes in education, and the necessity of reforming the healthcare sector. He also informed the ministers about the Government's current commitment to strict control of employment in the public sector while stimulating sectors that have greater employment prospects in the market.

The newly appointed ministers emphasized that they will certainly be an active part of the team processes that are underway or will begin soon, and that they will work for the benefit of all citizens and achieve results that will contribute to this. All reform processes aimed at a better and more efficient organization of public activities will have the support of the new ministers as well, it was emphasized today.

The 22nd session of the Sarajevo Canton Government has been announced for next week, and in the meantime, the new ministers will have materials before them that have already entered the procedures, and they will be able to express their views on them.
