Prvi mart: The Council of Peoples and the Constitutional Court of RS must stop the referendum farce

The Prvi mart coalition calls on all elected opposition representatives in the NSRS not to participate in the vote on the decision to call a referendum, announced by the ruling majority led by the SNSD.

This is a matter that attempts to undermine the work of the judicial institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as a dangerous precedent, testing the international community's reaction to the anti-Dayton actions of Milorad Dodik, reports the Patria news agency, according to a statement from Prvi mart.

-We call on the elected representatives of the Homeland to remain composed and calm, and to share with the public all valid arguments as to why this referendum cannot take place. We believe that by invoking the vital interest of a constituent people in the Council of Peoples of the RS, this referendum will be stopped, since the final word would then rest with the Constitutional Court of the RS, which can ultimately only declare the calling of the referendum unconstitutional.
