
(Patria) - The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Policy announced that Independence Day, in accordance with the Law on the Proclamation of March 1st as Independence Day of BiH, is celebrated on March 1st and that on the day of the holiday it is a non-working day for state bodies, enterprises and other legal entities.
State holidays, according to this Law, are not transferred and are celebrated on the day they fall.
"This year, Independence Day falls on a Saturday, and accordingly, we call on all legal entities to respect citizens' right to a non-working day on the occasion of this holiday.
If, due to the nature of the work and working hours schedule, employees work on this day, they forfeit their right to increased pay, in accordance with Article 76 of the Labour Law," the Ministry announced.
