First day of spring, and air temperature like in the middle of winter

(Patria) - Spring arrived this morning at 04:06, i.e., the equinox occurred, announcing the end of winter.

Spring actually begins on the vernal equinox, when day and night are equal, i.e., when the daylight lasts for 12 hours.

The daylight will continue to lengthen until the beginning of summer. The vernal equinox usually occurs on March 19, 20, or 21, and these are the days when spring begins in the Northern Hemisphere, and autumn begins in the Southern Hemisphere.

The last time spring began on March 21 was in 2007, and this will not happen again until 2101.

On the first day of spring in Bosnia and Herzegovina, sunny weather prevails. Air temperatures measured at seven o'clock were: Bjelašnica -8, Sokolac -7, Ivan Sedlo -4, Srebrenica and Tuzla -3, Bugojno, Livno, Sanski Most and Zenica -2, Bihać and Bijeljina -1, Doboj, Sarajevo and Široki Brijeg 0, Banja Luka and Prijedor 1, Gradačac 4, Trebinje 6, Mostar 7, and Neum 8 degrees Celsius.
