First sparks: Did the political love between Dodik and Radončić break, or is it a well-orchestrated play?

Bakir Izetbegović, leader of SDA and Chairman of the BiH Presidency, not so long ago confidently stated in an interview for N1 that "Milorad Dodik is a pragmatic man with whom anything can be agreed upon," writes the Patria News Agency.

Izetbegović said at the time that the President of Republika Srpska says one thing behind closed doors and another in front of the cameras. It turned out, as of yesterday, when the unconstitutional referendum was held, that Izetbegović was wrong in this assessment as well.

- I believe that Dodik is a pragmatic, rational man, that he will not go into irrational things and that he could be negotiated with on everything - Izetbegović said in an interview for N1.

In the end, there is no agreement, but the question arises as to where Izetbegović's confidence came from and such statements he made on September 9th?

Those who are well acquainted with the political scene know very well on what basis Bakir made such a claim.

It seems that Izetbegović thought and hoped that his close relationship with Fahrudin Radončić, the president of SBB, who also had close ties with Dodik until recently, would improve the situation in the Izetbegović-Dodik relationship. However, it turned out to be completely different.

It is known that Radončić has had good relations with Dodik for years, and they function particularly well together with Dragan Čović. Everyone will remember the saga surrounding the coordination mechanism.

At the time of the agreement, Izetbegović announced that he would conduct all negotiations with the presidents of HDZ BiH and SNSD, Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik, in the company of his coalition partner Fahrudin Radončić.

There were never any sparks between Radončić and Dodik. It seemed that way until yesterday, because Dodik, mercilessly, forgot their earlier friendship and the praise Radončić often gave him, especially during the "war" between SDA and SBB, and he launched an attack on a journalist from Dnevni avaz, and on the newspaper itself, which Radončić once owned and which is under his control.

- Ask, go ahead. You are constantly speculating. What do you care, it will happen when it happens - Dodik snapped at the Avaz journalist who asked him if he was preparing a referendum on the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH.

Immediately after that, Dodik attacked the reporting of Dnevni avaz on RTRS and said:

- They have been destroying Republika Srpska for ten years - said Dodik.

For Dodik, the president of SDA has undoubtedly always been an open enemy of Republika Srpska, but what is the game with Radončić now?
