First Party warns citizens: Do not fall for contrived surveys

Regarding the increasingly frequent occurrences of electronic and print media in Bosnia and Herzegovina surveying citizens about their preferred election winner or publishing results of such surveys conducted by alleged independent public opinion research agencies, the First Party warns citizens not to fall for surveys of this type, as they are the result of a contrived strategy by political entities that have been an indispensable political factor for the past twenty years, dragging this country to the bottom.

The survey questions are deliberately designed in a way that citizens can only choose between a few political parties that have been alternating in power for the past twenty years, reports the Patria agency.

These surveys leave no room for smaller or new political entities, and this is precisely the devised political-marketing concept according to which voters should form the opinion that the only possible choice is among a few political entities through daily bombardment with survey results. All the more so, because the voters in these surveys are activists from the election headquarters of the ruling political parties. We remind the public that a total of 113 political entities have been verified for participation in these elections and that the voters of this country have a choice.

At the same time, we call on the political activists of these parties to use their energy to call humanitarian numbers, as the energy and money spent in this way will have some meaning. The First Party also calls on the Communications Regulatory Agency to investigate such behavior by media and political entities and to determine whether it is in compliance with the Rulebook on Political Representation.
