SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The first shipment of humanitarian aid from the United States government to the citizens of BiH in dealing with the emergency situation arrived today.
A US military aircraft delivered medical equipment, equipment for hospitals and emergency services, food and water to the Sarajevo airport, the US Embassy in BiH announced on its Facebook profile.
Members of the US military handed over these supplies to members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who will distribute them throughout BiH.
As a NATO partner and long-standing friend of BiH, the United States of America and the American people are responding to this situation with strong and steadfast support that we have been showing to the citizens of BiH for more than 25 years.
Globally, the Secretary of State has pledged $100 million in aid to international efforts, as well as $1.25 billion that the State Department and USAID will program to fight the pandemic at the international level.
