First aid from Bosnia and Herzegovina: A truck of flour from MFS – EMMAUS arrives for survivors of Aleppo

This morning, the first truck of aid with flour for the survivors in Aleppo arrived from Bosnia and Herzegovina, provided by the domestic non-governmental humanitarian organization MFS-EMMAUS from Doboj East, thanks to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This was preceded by an urgently launched campaign by this organization, „Let's help the hungry children of Syria“. MFS – EMMAUS continues this humanitarian campaign and invites all who wish to participate.

On Tuesday, a convoy „OPEN THE WAY TO ALEPPO“ with humanitarian aid departed from Kazlicesme Square in Istanbul towards the Syrian border, among which was a truck with 25 tons of flour provided by MFS-EMMAUS thanks to donations within the campaign „Let's help the hungry children of Syria“.

The organizer of this convoy is the organization IHH from Turkey, with which MFS-EMMAUS has a long-standing cooperation. The IHH organization has 46 bakeries in Syria that are threatened with closure due to extremely high prices, so it called on the population and non-governmental organizations to donate flour in order to continue the continuous production of flatbreads distributed to survivors.

MFS-EMMAUS joined this humanitarian campaign and for that reason launched an appeal for help in collecting money for flour.

This is just the first truck of flour that MFS-EMMAUS has sent to Syria. The humanitarian campaign to collect money to help the Syrian people continues; we invite all who wish to respond to this campaign in as large numbers as possible and help as much as their means allow.
