As for the month of June, it will be within the multi-year average, but quite unstable with precipitation possible every day, said climatologist Željko Majstorović for the BH news agency Patria.
- Temperatures will not be too high, quite moderate, and in some places slightly below average. As for the second half of the month, there will be significantly less precipitation and slightly higher temperatures – Majstorović told NAP.
Majstorović confirmed that the precipitation that caused unprecedented floods and landslides in BiH was between 200 and 300 liters per square meter in May.
- These figures exceed double the average monthly sums. 120-year records were recorded in eastern and some places in central Bosnia – said the climatologist, adding that the amounts of precipitation expected in June will not penetrate deep into the ground.
He said that only July and August will be true summer months with temperatures slightly above average, depending on the area, writes Patria.
