First group of pilgrims returns to Bosnia and Herzegovina: Returning home is the most beautiful feeling

(Patria) - The first group of pilgrims arrived today from Medina at the International Airport in Sarajevo. The plane with our pilgrims took off this morning around 7:00 AM, and via Egypt, headed for their homeland.

The main guide of the Hajj and Umrah Office, Izet-ef. Čamdić, said that this year's Hajj, in organizational terms, went perfectly and that the pilgrims had no difficulties.

– Everything functioned as planned, and in some segments, even better than that. A total of 2,222 men and women from Bosnia and Herzegovina performed the Hajj, which is, therefore, the most important thing, because it is a trust that we, as management and guide service, have taken on, and behind which the Islamic Community stands as an institution. That is, therefore, the most important thing – said Čamdžić.

He regretfully reminded that one of our female pilgrims – Azemina Delić – passed away after performing the Hajj, and that, according to established protocols, but also with the consent of her family, she was buried in Mecca.

– Today's flight went without any problems. I want to say that the airline company providing our air service, both last year and this year, is the best thing we could have had in all the past years of my experience, and I count 16 of them, when it comes to transporting our pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Saudi Arabia and back. So, everything is going without any problems, flights are on time, and, God willing, tonight at 11:00 PM we expect the second flight, and tomorrow at 10:00 AM the third. So, all pilgrims are healthy, everyone is well, and everyone is preparing to return home – emphasized Čamdžić.

Hafiz Abulaziz Drkić said that the pilgrims performed all rituals on time and in accordance with regulations.

– The feeling is very beautiful. It is beautiful to be in holy places, and it is always nice to return to one's homeland, to one's family. We look forward to meeting our loved ones. We ask Allah, the Exalted, to accept it from us, and from all pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from all pilgrims from our Ummah. I will certainly take this opportunity to congratulate the Hajj Office of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and our guiding organization – said Drkić briefly.

Let us remind you that our pilgrims will be transported back to their homeland in two flights per day until June 22nd, after performing the Hajj.

This year, 2,222 pilgrims traveled for Hajj, organized by the Hajj and Umrah Office of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community. They were cared for by 47 guides, Sharia consultants, as well as a medical team of seven doctors of various specialties and seven medical technicians.
