
(Patria) - The remains of one victim of the past war were exhumed today at the Duge - Prolaz site, located in the municipality of Prozor - Rama, announced the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH.
These are remains that a passerby noticed on the surface of the ground in the mentioned area last week.
In addition to the remains, which had some clothing on them, a hunting rifle and a knife were found.
The case was immediately reported to the competent police station, which then informed the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH.
Upon arrival at the scene, it was determined that these were remains within the mandate of the Institute, and an exhumation order was obtained on an urgent basis.
According to information available to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is most likely the remains of a Bosniak victim from Prozor, who disappeared in this area in October 1992.
The remains will be transferred to the "Sutina" City Cemetery in Mostar, where forensic and forensic-medical processing will take place, as well as the collection of bone samples to determine the victim's identity through DNA analysis.
The exhumation was carried out under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH and by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
