(Patria) - A few days after unsuccessful negotiations with the Government of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK), healthcare workers held a protest march today which ended in front of the Cantonal government building.
Healthcare workers state that they held the protest to express their dissatisfaction with the authorities' attitude towards healthcare workers so far, and to warn about discrimination and inconsistent criteria.
The union's demand remains the same – an increase in the coefficient for salary calculation by 0.5, and the right to a holiday bonus, as is secured for the union of doctors of medicine and dentistry.
Ivica Anić, president of the Independent Union of the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, said that the deadline for the mediation council expires this week.
After that, as he stated, preparations for a general strike will follow.
