(Patria) - Today's protest gathering of young people in Sarajevo ended shortly after 3 PM on the main road near SCC, and traffic was reopened as the procession moved.
Today's gathering also began at 12 PM at the National Museum at the site of the tram accident in which Erdoan Morankić lost his life, and 17-year-old E.J. was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at the General Hospital. The accident occurred on Thursday, February 12th.
Thousands of attendees, mostly young people, high school students, and university students, joined by numerous citizens, are demanding justice after this accident. Today they also expressed support for the injured girl, while announcing that tomorrow they will not go to the "Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital so as not to disturb other patients.
The attendees marched to the KS Prosecutor's Office building, where they read out their demands, and then proceeded along the main road, stopping in front of the BiH Presidency building, where employees waved to them from the windows.
After that, they continued along the main road to the starting point at the National Museum. During today's protest, young people who spoke to the media recalled the victims of Jablanica, Tuzla, Sarajevo, and all other unresolved cases where the justice system has failed.
During today's protests, GRAS director Senad Mujagić resigned.
Although information emerged that there would be incidents, none were recorded today, and the young people themselves stated that they only want justice and that they have replaced their school desks with the right to assemble.
During the stop near SCC, the attendees chanted: "Hota resigns", and as they explained, this is because some schools were locked down by order of the minister to prevent students from protesting.
"We have a message, you don't justify classes, you justify death. You cannot threaten us with expulsion from school. Tomorrow, everyone at 12 PM, the same route, we will be stronger. We will never give up until justice prevails", said one of the protest participants.
